An Overview of My Career
I have spent the past nine years working my way up in the family business. I began in the shipping department, booking trucks and relaying information between customers and drivers. Over time, I advanced into management and now oversee the business as a whole.
While my work at Jansen USA has been central to my growth as a businesswoman, I have also dedicated time to other projects that have helped me develop additional skills that I carry into my next career step. This includes Surfpurse, a product I invented, manufactured, and patented, as well as The Private Eye Library, a mystery literature podcast I co-host with my sister.
SURFPURSE
Surfpurse is an ongoing project I have been working on with a close friend since 2020.
We are just two gals who have a love and passion for the ocean, surfing, and innovation. "Sore arms and achy backs from our round-trip treks were taking a toll, so we both thought, why hasn’t someone invented something that helps surfers carry their logs and paddleboards? Why couldn’t that be us?!
More recently, we have been working on an updated design with greater flexibility so it can accommodate thicker paddle boards and kayaks.
Private Eye Library
The book club podcast that investigates mystery novels and tries to solve them before your favorite detectives
My long-distance sister, Sydney, and I started reading mysteries together as a way to stay connected across continents. Then, of course, we decided to publish our silly conversations about the theories we come up with and what we learn along the way.
We have realized that podcasting is something that combines both of our talents and interests in a way that feels creative, engaging, and fun.
Jansen USA
Jansen USA is the family business that I have been managing for the past 5 years. I have been working hard to increase brand awareness and quality of service. My job at Jansen USA encompasses many tasks. One of the projects I am most proud of right now is the new jansenusa.com.
I built this website from the ground up, working very hard to design it specifically for ease of use and with our customers in mind.
